Course overview
The Hills Course is Costa Navarino's third championship layout, set on the higher ground above the resort with sweeping views across the Peloponnese hills and out to the Ionian Sea. Designed by José María Olazábal, the 18-hole layout takes full advantage of the elevated terrain, with several tees and greens positioned to maximise the dramatic coastal panorama. The course incorporates the natural topography of the Messinian hills, with changes in elevation adding tactical variety to each hole.

Character & atmosphere
A hillside resort course with more elevation change than its Costa Navarino siblings. The views are the most expansive of the three courses, with the combination of sea, hills and ancient landscape visible throughout the round. Longer carries and uphill approaches require careful club selection.

How to get there
Kalamata Airport is the primary gateway for Costa Navarino, with seasonal direct services from several European cities. The resort is approximately 75 km south via the E65 and local roads. Car hire is available at the airport; private transfers can also be arranged through the resort. Athens International Airport (ATH) has broader year-round connections and is around 290 km north by road.
Where to stay
Staying within the Costa Navarino resort — either at The Romanos, A Luxury Collection Resort, or The Westin Resort Costa Navarino — is the most practical and immersive option for a golf break here. Both hotels sit directly alongside the courses, and guests can walk to the first tee. All dining, spa and leisure facilities are within the resort village, making it fully self-contained.
