Course overview

The Dunes Course was the first course to open at Costa Navarino in 2009 and established the resort's reputation as one of Europe's finest golf destinations. Designed by Robert Trent Jones II, the 18-hole layout occupies a dramatic coastal plateau above the Bay of Navarino in Messinia, Peloponnese, weaving through Mediterranean dunes, sea buckthorn and indigenous vegetation. Several holes offer panoramic views across the Ionian Sea and the historic waters where the Battle of Navarino was fought in 1827. The course plays to a par of 71 and demands accurate ball-striking to navigate the prevailing sea breezes and challenging green complexes that bear the hallmarks of RTJ II design.
