Gray Bear Golf Course is situated in the Tále recreation centre within the Low Tatras National Park, occupying approximately 60 hectares of mountain valley landscape. Designed by Bob Walton and Skip Malek of International Golf Course Design (South Carolina) with shaping by Southern Golf Ltd (Scotland), it opened on 8 August 2002 as the first 18-hole championship golf course in Slovakia. The par-71 layout plays 6,296 m from the back tees. The course is integrated into the Tále ski and hotel resort complex, offering year-round access with mountain panoramas throughout the round.

How to get there
Bratislava Airport (BTS) is approximately 200 km west of Tále and has the broadest international connections of any Slovak airport; the drive to Tále via Banská Bystrica takes around 2.5 hours. Poprad–Tatry Airport (TAT) is approximately 80 km east and has seasonal European services during the summer months; the drive through the mountain valley takes around an hour. Car hire is recommended from either airport as public transport connections to Tále are limited.

Staying at the Tále resort is the most immersive option for the Gray Bear Golf Course — the Low Tatras mountain environment is the course's defining feature, and waking up surrounded by that landscape is part of the experience.
