Why Play Golf Here
Tbilisi Hills Golf, designed by Finnish architect Lassi Pekka Tilander and opened in 2018, is Georgia's first and only international championship golf course. Situated at around 750 metres above sea level on a hillside south of Tbilisi, the course offers 140 metres of elevation change and sweeping views of the Caucasus mountains. A round here is a genuinely unusual experience — combining serious golf with one of the most dramatic landscapes available in the region. Tbilisi itself is a compelling destination, with its Old Town, natural sulphur baths, emerging wine scene, and vibrant restaurant culture making it an increasingly popular city break.

Old Town Tbilisi
Tbilisi's Old Town is the most atmospheric base in the city — narrow lanes of wooden balconied houses, sulphur bath domes, and medieval churches set on the banks of the Mtkvari river. The drive to Tbilisi Hills Golf takes 30–40 minutes through the southern suburbs. Staying in the Old Town puts you close to the best restaurants, wine bars and cultural sights, and the Old Town's walkability makes it the easiest base for a city-and-golf combination.

Vake district
Vake is Tbilisi's most international residential and commercial district, with a concentration of contemporary restaurants, wine bars and boutique hotels. It sits slightly west of the city centre on elevated ground, and the drive to Tbilisi Hills Golf is a few minutes shorter than from the Old Town. Vake suits golfers who prefer a quieter, more modern base with good dining options nearby.

- Vake Park is a large green space in the neighbourhood with a funicular railway. The area's quieter residential character may suit families better than the busy Old Town.
