Course overview

Tralee Golf Club's course was designed by Arnold Palmer — his first and only design in Ireland — and opened in 1983 on the Barrow Peninsula west of Tralee in County Kerry. The layout occupies a dramatic stretch of Atlantic coastline, with the ocean visible on multiple sides and views extending to the Blasket Islands on clear days. The inward nine are routed across more rugged, exposed terrain than the outward nine, and the combination of cliff-edge holes, dune ridges, and prevailing Atlantic wind makes Tralee one of the most visually distinctive links experiences in southwest Ireland.

A dramatic Barrow Peninsula links where Palmer's routing uses the cliff edge and dune topography to create maximum visual and strategic impact — the inward nine demands accurate driving and committed approach play with the Atlantic in play on multiple holes.
