The K Club — Palmer South Course
Arnold Palmer's second K Club design, an inland-links layout that hosted the European Open three times.
Course overview
The Palmer South Course at The K Club opened in July 2003, designed by Arnold Palmer as a bolder, more dynamic companion to the resort's Palmer North Course. It hosted the Smurfit European Open in 2004, 2006 and 2007, and was once the longest course on the European Tour. Visitors can book tee times directly with the resort; no handicap certificate is required, though a good standard of golf is recommended.

How to get there
Dublin Airport (DUB) is the main gateway, approximately 17 miles away — around 30–35 minutes' drive. Visitors can book tee times directly with the resort; no handicap certificate is required, though a good standard of golf is recommended given the course's championship history.
Where to stay
Staying at The K Club itself is the simplest option — accommodation on site, immediately beside the Ryder Cup course, with Dublin Airport under 40 minutes away by car. The wider Kildare countryside, known for its stud farms and the River Liffey, rewards a quiet night away from the city.
