Royal Golf La Bagnaia
A Robert Trent Jones Jr. inland links in the Sienese hills — one of Tuscany's most distinctive golf experiences.
Course overview
Royal Golf La Bagnaia opened in 2009 within the La Bagnaia Golf & Spa Resort near Siena, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The 18-hole layout stretches to 6,101 metres at par 71 across open, undulating Tuscan hillside terrain that gives it an inland links character unusual among Italian courses. Wide fairways, firm turf and far-reaching views across the Sienese countryside define the experience, and the on-site resort makes it a natural anchor for a Tuscany golf break.

How to get there
Florence and Pisa airports are both practical gateways for Siena. The drive from Florence takes around 75 minutes via the Siena–Florence motorway; from Pisa around 90 minutes. Car hire is recommended as the Sienese countryside is best explored by road.
Where to stay
Florence is the logical base for golfers combining a Tuscany golf trip with a cultural city break. The courses are within driving range, and the city offers world-class dining and one of the greatest concentrations of Renaissance art anywhere.
