Course overview

The Heritage Course was added to Penati Golf Resort in 2013, designed by Jonathan Davison with shaping by Mick McShane. The course plays 6,230 m from the back tees across relatively flat, tree-lined parkland. It has been ranked 66th in Continental Europe by Golf World (2025) and is well regarded as a complement to the adjacent Nicklaus-designed Legend Course, giving the resort 36 holes of high-quality golf.

How to get there

Bratislava Airport (BTS) is approximately 105 km south of Penati Golf Resort and has direct connections to several European cities. Vienna International Airport (VIE) is around 2 hours by car and offers significantly more international routes — a practical alternative, particularly for Central and Western European visitors. Car hire is recommended from either airport; the drive to Senica via the D2 motorway is straightforward.

Where to stay

Staying at Penati Golf Resort is the most practical option for a Záhorie golf trip — both 18-hole courses are on site and the resort villas are well-equipped for groups. For those who prefer a town base, Senica is close and has a modest range of accommodation, though the resort stay removes the need for any commute to the course.
