Druids Glen Golf Resort
A manicured parkland course in the Wicklow hills, nicknamed "the Augusta of Europe."
Course overview
Druids Glen Golf Resort opened in 1995, designed by Pat Ruddy and Tom Craddock. The course hosted the Irish Open four times between 1996 and 1999 and the 2002 Seve Trophy. Set among mature woodland in the Wicklow hills roughly 35 km south of Dublin, it is known for its immaculate presentation and has earned comparisons to Augusta National. Visitors are welcome daily with advance booking, and the resort also operates the adjoining Druids Heath course.

How to get there
Dublin Airport (DUB) is the main gateway, approximately 60 km away — around 50–60 minutes' drive via the M50 and M11. Visitors are welcome daily with advance booking; the resort also offers on-site accommodation for golfers who prefer not to drive after their round.
Where to stay
Staying at the Druids Glen Resort itself is the simplest option — accommodation on site, immediately beside both courses, with Dublin under an hour away via the M11 for a day trip or airport transfer. The wider Wicklow countryside, with its gardens, mountains, and coastline, rewards a night or two beyond the golf.
