Designed by Severiano Ballesteros and inaugurated in October 2003, Buenavista Golf Club occupies the northwest tip of Tenerife in the municipality of Buenavista del Norte. The par-72 layout is set in a mountainous landscape with views over the Atlantic and the Macizo de Teno mountain range. Interconnected lakes linked by a cascading waterfall feature on both the 9th and 18th holes, creating the course's most visually striking sequence. The combination of elevation changes, Tenerife's year-round mild climate, and the remote natural setting makes Buenavista one of the most distinctive golf experiences in the Canary Islands.

How to get there
Tenerife North Airport is the closer option for Buenavista del Norte at the island's far northwest tip; the drive along the TF-5 and TF-42 takes around 45 minutes. Tenerife South is larger and better connected; allow around 90 minutes. Car hire is essential.
Where to stay
Tenerife is the most developed of the Canary Islands for golf and offers year-round play in a reliable winter sun climate. The south's resort hotel strip at Costa Adeje concentrates most accommodation options and suits golfers wanting a combination of golf, beach, and resort facilities.
