Course overview

The Faldo Course at Bad Saarow was co-designed by Nick Faldo and Stan Eby and opened in 1996 on the wooded banks of the Scharmützelsee lake in Brandenburg. Stretching to 6,468 metres at par 72, it hosted the German Open on the European Tour and is widely regarded as one of the finest modern designs in Germany. The layout blends links-style exposed holes with tree-framed parkland corridors, and the lake comes dramatically into play on the closing stretch.

Where to stay

Bad Saarow is a spa resort town on the Scharmützelsee lake in the Brandenburg countryside east of Berlin. The Faldo Course is one of Germany's most respected parkland layouts, and staying at the associated resort hotel gives a self-contained experience that contrasts with the Berlin city base.
