Paphos, Cyprus
Aphrodite Hills Golf Club
Cabell B. Robinson's clifftop championship course above the birthplace of Aphrodite — sweeping sea views over the Mediterranean and a genuine test of precision golf.
Course overview
Aphrodite Hills Golf Club opened in 2002 as the centrepiece of the Aphrodite Hills Resort at Kouklia, Paphos district. Designed by Cabell B. Robinson, the 18-hole layout is carved along a series of limestone ridges above the Mediterranean, with dramatic elevation changes and sea views that define almost every hole on the outward nine. The course plays to a par of 71 and demands accurate approach play — undulating Bermuda grass greens and deep ravines punish loose shots. The 7th hole, a par-3 across a gorge to a green perched above the sea, is among the most photographed in European golf.

Character & atmosphere
A clifftop Mediterranean course where the dramatic topography is as much a hazard as it is a visual reward. Deep ravines, sea breezes and tiered Bermuda greens demand precision over power — the views from the clifftop holes are among the most spectacular on any resort course in southern Europe.

How to get there
Paphos Airport is the closest international gateway for the Paphos golf courses, with direct services from across Europe. Aphrodite Hills Resort is a short drive south-east of the airport via the B6 road. Larnaca International Airport (LCA) offers broader year-round connections and is the main international hub, but involves a longer road journey west. Car hire is the standard option from either airport.
Where to stay
Staying at Aphrodite Hills Resort puts you directly beside the course and offers the most seamless golf experience in Cyprus. The clifftop resort has an integrated village layout with hotels, restaurants, and leisure facilities — a self-contained base that works well for dedicated golf groups. Paphos town is a short drive for evenings with more dining options.
